So you say you're a Carolina grad and you've fallen out of touch with your fellow alumni? Just swing by Selwyn Avenue Pub--if you graduated within the last 10 years or so, you're sure to run into some of your old classmates.

Selwyn continues to draw upscale crowds thanks to its real estate. The pub rests in a quaint old house on the edge of Myers Park.

Selwyn's most compelling attraction is its patio, easily one of the best in Charlotte. Fenced off to keep the road noise out, and sheltered by an ancient, enveloping oak tree, it's a great spot to rest any time of the day.

Actually, it's easier to determine when not to go, and that's whenever any sort of college sporting events--especially Carolina games--are being televised.
